Maison Martell takes up winter quarters at Mandarin Oriental, Paris in the chic heart of the French capital. For six months starting November, the hotel’s terrace decor will be inspired by the workshop of Maison Martell’s cellar master. Here, cognac-lovers, connoisseurs and the general public can immerse themselves in the luxurious world of Martell.
The decor evokes the House’s three hundred years of savoir-faire, and the major stages in the creation of cognac, from the double distillation of the eaux de vie, to ageing in fine-grained oak barrels, and the art of blending – which has been handed down from one cellar master to another for nine generations.
As night falls, mood lighting creates a special ambiance where guests can discover the secrets of Martell in an intimate atmosphere conducive to relaxation and tasting.
A menu presents a rich collection of Martell cognacs, to be enjoyed neat or in cocktails exclusively created by the Mandarin Oriental mixologists for this terrace. Experts will also be on hand for tastings, imparting insights into Maison Martell’s know-how and excellence.
