A rare and precious encounter. L'Or de Jean Martell is the quintessence of Martell cognacs: a unique blend of more than 700 rare eaux-de-vie, revealing a symphony of fresh citrus, fruit, gingerbread and precious wood.
Cognac 700ml bottle
“For me, this is the quintessence of Martell cognacs. With the body of the Borderies and the structure of Grande Champagne, L’Or offers a perfect balance between rich aromas and power. It is blended using over 700 extremely rare eaux-de-vie, yet it remains a model of harmony and the perfect expression of this cognac house's philosophy.”
Intense amber with shimmering mahogany highlights.
Citrus notes like bergamot and orange peel, the full-fruit harmony of dark berries and blackcurrants, the gingerbread notes of clove and cinnamon embraced by vanilla, and the scent of oriental forests with its woody notes of myrrh, undergrowth and rancio.
A silky-smooth and subtle attack is followed by richer, more substantial flavours. Harmonious notes of blackcurrant and woodland undergrowth encounter tones of gingerbread and orange peel. Long-aged Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie bring strength and structure, prolonged into an exquisite, lingering finish.
L’Or de Jean Martell is an exceptional and complex cognac which expresses the myriad nuances of over 700 rare and precious eaux-de-vie, some of which have aged for more than a century. It is distinguished by the encounter of eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne and the Borderies, the smallest and most exclusive terroir in the Cognac region, which create a blend of elegance, richness and power.
The jewel bottle, whose shape evokes a drop in which the cognac is enclosed and protected is made of precious crystal.
An exceptional cognac to savour neat, for a sensory experience like no other.
