Maison Martell presents L’Or de Jean Martell - Réserve du Château, an exceptional collection, paying homage to French art de vivre through the country’s most prestigious châteaux, echoing the savoir-faire for which Maison Martell has been renowned worldwide for 300 years. For every edition, Martell Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud will craft a new blend – released in extremely limited quantities of just 1,000 individually - inspired by a prestigious French château.
Amber with glints of copper.
Floral notes like iris, wild carnation and honeysuckle meet suave notes of red fruit like cherry. Aromas of earth and rancio come to the fore, with fragrant notes of sandalwood and cedar.
Robust, fresh flowers greet the palate, preceding spices and hints of currant. The flavours evolve to reveal unique woody notes with an incomparable aromatic explosion and a long finish in the mouth.
After blending, L’Or de Jean Martell – Réserve du Château is further aged in barrels of 300 year-old oak, sourced from France’s most ancient forests. The ageing process takes place first in a historic, dedicated cellar in Cognac, and is then completed in the chosen château.
For the first edition of the collection, presented in 2024, the ageing process has been completed at the Château de Chanteloup, once the home of the Martell family.
An exceptional cognac to savour neat, for a sensory experience like no other.
