<h2>See for yourself the origins and unique craftsmanship of the House of Martell</h2><hr/> <span class="text">Martell, the oldest of all the great cognac houses, offers you a unique glimpse of the Company's heritage in the town of Cognac.<br/>A guided tour takes you through the principal steps of cognac-making, from selecting the various crus or growths, to blending the eaux-de-vie, and reveals the secrets behind crafting the finest cognacs.<br/> You are invited to explore the residence of the founder, Jean Martell, restored and furnished in the style of an 18th century home. You then visit the office of the Cellar Master, where more than 1,000 samples of eaux-de-vie are kept, giving you a feeling for the complexity and magic of cognac-blending. The dazzling variety of colours in the eaux-de-vie merely confirms this as a unique and extraordinary place. Your hour-long tour will also take you to a full-scale replica of a gabarre, the traditional boat formerly used to transport casks of cognac on the Charente river.
